Pie Chart 3D Creator provides a straightforward solution for generating pie charts on mobile devices, compatible with both iPad and iPhone platforms. The application enables users to create pie charts efficiently through minimal interaction—only a few taps are required to produce a chart, which can then be saved for later use or emailed directly from the app.

On iPad devices, the application supports rotation to landscape mode, facilitating presentation directly to an audience in a more effective visual orientation.

In its initial release (version 1.0), the app includes features such as:

• Addition of new slices, with a maximum of 12 pieces per chart
• Adjustment of individual slice sizes within a chart
• Reordering slices within the chart through slice settings
• Rotation of the entire chart via swipe gestures along the border
• Skewing the chart by swiping vertically through the center area
• Scaling the chart in a pinch gesture similar to photo zooming
• Saving up to 15 charts with associated date and name metadata for easy retrieval
• Loading previously saved charts, with prompts to confirm replacements of current work
• Deleting charts through interface controls such as swipe gestures or edit options
• Resetting chart configurations to default with five slices
• E-mailing chart images directly from the application interface

The subsequent update, version 2.0, expands functionality to include:

• Increased capacity for saving multiple charts and handling additional slices
• Exporting charts directly to the device’s camera roll
• Customization options for title font and positioning
• Adjustments for labels’ fonts and placement within the chart
• Personalized coloring of individual slices
• Changing background color for aesthetic flexibility

The application’s design leverages two custom classes developed by the author, which are available on their website:

• A dedicated pie chart 3D class responsible for rendering three-dimensional pie diagrams and providing protocols for detecting user interaction with specific slices
• A color picker class that facilitates rapid selection from a predefined palette of colors
